Terms of Use
Last updated August 24, 2026
These terms cover your use of the DeepLock iPhone app and this website.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Jack Mandeville, the developer and operator of DeepLock.
Accepting these terms
Using DeepLock means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use DeepLock. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
Your licence
DeepLock grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple’s App Store terms. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless App Store Connect displays a different custom agreement.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app.
- Use the app to break the law or another person’s rights.
- Interfere with the app’s operation or access it through unauthorized means.
- Resell or commercially exploit access to the app.
Your account
Creating a DeepLock account is optional. If you create one, you sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple Account secure, because anyone with access to it can reach your DeepLock account. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation
Any paid subscription is sold and billed by Apple through your Apple Account, not by us. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
If an offer includes a free trial, eligibility, trial length, renewal period, and full price are shown before purchase. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to the selected paid subscription and renews automatically. Apple’s purchase sheet and subscription record control the transaction.
You manage and cancel subscriptions in the Settings app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. We cannot issue or guarantee a refund for a purchase Apple processed.
Screen Time
DeepLock shields apps using Apple’s Screen Time frameworks and depends on the permission you grant and on the operating system behaving as Apple designed it. Shielding applies only to apps you select yourself, and it ends when your Block ends.
Notifications
DeepLock can schedule local reminders for Blocks and eligible trials when you allow notifications. Notification delivery depends on your iPhone settings and operating system. A reminder does not change your responsibility to manage or cancel a subscription through Apple.
Intellectual property
DeepLock, its name, its logo, its artwork, and its software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond the licence above. Content you write inside the app stays yours.
Changes to the app and these terms
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these terms. The date at the top changes when they do. Continuing to use DeepLock after a change means you accept the updated terms.
No warranty
DeepLock is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted or error free, and we make no promise about any particular result from using it.
Termination
You can stop using DeepLock and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.
